My crowning achievement of last Saturday was successfully figuring out how to make fake dreadlocks. It was no easy task given the amount of gel it took and a time frame but it was done. First, to anyone who wants to try making these dreads go by yourself a bottle of gel right now. What we did was separate the top from the bottom and worked on the bottom section first. Take a comb and start teasing the crap out the hair. Get it really poof but not so tangled that you can separate it into smaller sections. Take 1-2" of hairs and begin to slather it with gel. I felt like I was painting. As you move the gel up and down the strand of hairs also twist it so it gets the round look of dreads.
